Retreat Center

 The Grand Oaks Retreat Center is a multi use facility open year round.  In summer camps, it is used for housing our campers, typically girls.  In the off season or on summer weekends when available it can be rented for retreats, reunions and other events.  It is self contained for groups up to around 50 people.

 

 The walkout basement level Multi-use Room is an inviting meeting space with a “home” style kitchen complete with all the usual appliances other than a dishwasher.  The kitchen is furnished with a variety of pots, pans, dishware and utensils.  For your convenience we provide ice in the freezer and coffee fixin’s on the shelf for purchase.  Tables and chairs are provided along with a screen for showing videos.  A small sound system can be used for voice support if needed.  There is a fireplace for those winter retreat evenings.  Restrooms also on this level make the room usable by itself or along with the sleeping quarters upstairs.  Free Wi-Fi is also provided in this room.

 

 The Sleeping Quarters consist of four rooms, two on each upper level.  The mid level rooms house up to 12 persons each on 6 bunk beds.  The top floor houses 14 in each room with 7 bunk beds.  Each room has its own private shower/toilet area and can be locked from the other rooms and accessed individually.  For safety, we typically do not lock the doors in between the two top rooms, thus allowing two opportunities for exit in case of an emergency.  For retreat groups, we typically recommend that the gals stay on the top floor and the guys in the middle.  Family reunion groups usually divide up as needed.

 

 All spaces have heat and AC adequate for even the most extreme weather.  A spacious deck across the front of the middle floor completes the setting and is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view.
